FOR EVERY ADVENTURE. NIKON ANNOUNCES TWO NEW PROSTAFF BINOCULARS.
Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 9th June 2022: Today, Nikon introduces two new models to the PROSTAFF family: the PROSTAFF P7 binoculars and the PROSTAFF P3 binoculars. Both models are perfectly suited to a range of hobbies, including birdwatching and wildlife observation. The PROSTAFF P7 give users excellent resolution and high-contrast views. The smaller PROSTAFF P3 are as attractive and tough as their bigger siblings, and are extremely easy to operate—making them an ideal choice for novice users.

Building on the already excellent reputation of their predecessor (the PROSTAFF 7S), the PROSTAFF P7 binoculars offer optical performance far exceeding expectations at this price point. Users will enjoy a brilliantly bright, sharp image even in low light. The PROSTAFF P7 also boast a locking dioptre system—allowing users to fine-tune focus reliably.
The PROSTAFF P3 binoculars replace the well-regarded PROSTAFF 3S, offering users a no-nonsense introduction to quality optics. With a multilayer coating applied to the lenses, and a high-reflective silver-alloy coating on the mirror surfaces of the prisms, the PROSTAFF P3 give a brilliant, bright image that can be enjoyed by anyone.
Users of either model will enjoy a compact build and wide apparent field of view—making it easy to find and follow subjects that move quickly or erratically. Both models are waterproof and ready for adventure.
Adam Randall, Product Manager, Nikon Europe, says: “We’re thrilled to offer two new PROSTAFF models, one for the serious hobbyist and one for the first-time binocular user. Both models are compact, lightweight, and tough, which is great as they can be packed in bags easily or hung around the user’s neck without worry. Plus, with a choice of four sizes per model, it’s easy to find the perfect magnification and lens diameter for your needs.”
Summary of key features: PROSTAFF P7
High-performance hobbyist binoculars: quality optical design with all lenses and prisms multilayer coated for brighter images. Phase-correction-coated roof prisms ensure excellent resolution even in low light.
Pick your perfect size: available in 8x42, 10x42, 8x30, and 10x30 sizes.
Wide apparent field of view: the PROSTAFF P7 8x30 binoculars offer an extremely wide 62.6° apparent field of view, while the PROSTAFF P7 10x42 offer an even wider 62.9° apparent field of view.
Perfect focus: the dioptre adjuster on the right barrel lets you calibrate focus for the difference in vision between each eye. Once you’ve set the dioptre, you can lock the adjuster in place to prevent unintentional adjustment.
Super tough: waterproofing (up to 1 m for up to 10 minutes) and a fog-free design keep the view clear no matter what the weather does. Rubber armouring protects the binoculars from knocks and bumps.
Extremely comfortable: every PROSTAFF P7 model boasts long eye relief (15 mm or more), making these binoculars perfect for glasses wearers. Multi-click turn-and-slide rubber eyecups make it simple to set the correct eye position if you don’t wear glasses.
Easy to clean: an oil- and water-repellent coating on the objective lens and eyepieces lets you quickly wipe away moisture, fingerprints, and smudges.
